Built for companies running
the infrastructure that doesn't make headlines

Mid-market businesses where the ERP is 20 years old, the SAN is out of vendor support, and the data still has to be right — every night, automatically.

Oil & Gas / Energy Services

Oilfield equipment distributors and energy-services companies with AS/400-era ERP stacks and on-prem reporting. Operators who need data moving — not consultants promising a cloud migration.

Industrial Distribution

Steel, valves, fittings, and pipe/flange wholesalers with legacy IBM i ERPs — APLUS, BPCS, JDE World. One working data bridge to SQL Server changes what management can see every morning.

Private Equity & M&A

Portfolio companies mid-acquisition, carve-out, or rebrand. IT environments that need separation, dependency mapping, and continuity — with one architect who knows the environment from day one.

What we deliver

Every capability listed below has been delivered to a paying client or is derived from a production deployment. Nothing aspirational.

AS/400 & IBM i → SQL Server Integration

Production-proven data bridge at multi-thousand-table scale. Delta detection, history filters, windowed streaming for large tables, deadlock-resilient SQL Server writes. Near-real-time mirror so your Power BI reports aren't running off month-old exports.

Production · APLUS / BPCS / JDE World / MAPICS

Power BI & PBIRS Reporting

Full semantic model development against SQL Server, on-prem Power BI Report Server deployment, DAX measures, AR aging buckets, DSO, date-dimension models. Also SSRS migration to PBIRS and ongoing report maintenance.

Production · Power BI · PBIRS · SSRS

Hyper-V Migration & Virtualization

Hyper-V cluster migration, ongoing virtualization stewardship, and ERP infrastructure hosted on Windows Server. No cloud migration pitch — we work with what you have, and we keep it running.

Production · Hyper-V · Windows Server

Legacy SAN Telemetry & Storage Stewardship

Dell Compellent administration and a self-hosted gateway that restores vendor phone-home on aging / end-of-support controllers — so you know when a drive is failing before it fails. Pattern extends to similar arrays pending hands-on access.

Production · Dell Compellent (SC8000)

One active enterprise engagement.
Documented outcomes.

The 128-day storage outage: during a Hyper-V migration, we discovered the Dell Compellent controller's vendor monitoring had been silently failing for 128 days. We designed and deployed a self-hosted telemetry gateway that restored remote monitoring, preserved data integrity through a live drive replacement, and left the client with a monitoring path that doesn't depend on vendor support contracts.

The 14M-row recovery: a high-volume table (1.04M rows at peak) was failing silently due to JVM out-of-memory in the original sync approach. We rebuilt the pull path — windowed streaming, RRN-keyed cursor, reconnect/retry logic — and recovered the under-sync gap without any downtime on the production ERP.

How an engagement runs

Assess

We map the environment — ERP stack, data flows, storage dependencies, integration risk. You get a concrete scope and a realistic delivery estimate, not a cloud migration proposal.

  • IBM i / AS/400 schema discovery
  • SQL Server dependency audit
  • SAN health & monitoring gap analysis
  • Hyper-V cluster review

Architect

Scope locks into a written SOW. The approach preserves what works and addresses what doesn't — no unnecessary rip-and-replace. Source code is included; no black-box deliverables.

  • Integration bridge design & sync strategy
  • SQL Server schema + performance plan
  • Reporting model (Power BI / PBIRS)
  • Storage telemetry restoration plan

Deliver

Same architect through execution and close. No hand-offs to a junior team. Documentation at cutover. T&M with a per-phase NTE, or fixed-bid where scope is tight enough to commit.

  • Cutover with zero-downtime where possible
  • Validation against source data
  • Runbook + operator documentation
  • Post-delivery support option

The architect you talk to is the architect who does the work

Sole-proprietor practice. No account managers. No junior analysts who read the transcript and take over in week two. When you explain your environment on the discovery call, the same person remembers it at cutover.

Twenty years in IT — infrastructure, ERP, and business analytics — primarily in oil & gas and industrial distribution. The work we do most is exactly the work that's hardest to staff: the AS/400 integration that nobody on your team knows how to touch, the Compellent array that's out of vendor support but still holding critical data, the Power BI deployment that's been running off a month-old Excel export.

We have one active enterprise engagement that has followed the same client leadership through an acquisition and a company rebrand. The best signal we can offer isn't a client list — it's that the same leadership has brought us back across multiple organizations.

Ready to scope the engagement?

Every engagement starts with a discovery call — no cost, no commitment. We'll map your environment and tell you honestly whether we're the right fit before a SOW is written.
